Rebuilds one enterprise stock ledger per LOT from a month-end PDF bundle: the 3PL inventory transaction ledger, the Amazon FBA Inventory Ledger, the marketplace settlement report, the retailer's deduction statement and last close's consolidated ledger. It fixes each LOT's starting quantity from the production receipt (never by adding channel receipts), follows the units stage by stage, and classifies every difference as in-transit, warehouse damage, DC short receipt, sales returns or unexplained. Unit values stay in their own currency, the rebuilt figures are checked against the prior ledger, and a 1% unexplained-variance threshold drives the verdict: Close Ready, Investigate Variance or Hold Close. Close Ready yields a controller-ready close report; the other two a variance investigation request with items assigned by department. A Validate step guards against an unread ledger. First-pass screening; the controller decides.
